You all did a fantastic job on the commercial and I would like to thank you, as well as the Presbyterian Communities and the Mabry House for asking me to share my personal experience with others. I am a true advocate for finding a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease and Stem Cell Research. While it may be to late for my mother, at least it may help to educate others and raise awareness about a disease that truly “steals memories” and tears their loved ones lives apart. This disease is truly “The Long Goodbye”. I pray that no one will ever have to endure the experiences that I have personally been through and the sheer lack of understanding that I had in the beginning. The sad reality is that people will continue to go through this until a cure is found. I certainly empathize and pray for all of these people. November is the National Awareness Month for Alzheimer’s Disease and if this commercial helps just one person, then it is truly worth it to me! May God Bless You and all of your viewers!
Amy, I can share your pain, as my mother, Beulah Smith, is also in Mabry House. The care and love she has received at Presbyterian is second to none. They are truly like family and treat our loved ones the same way. May God truly bless your mother’s time there, and give you the peace that passes all understanding.
